Looking to radically simply your portfolio? Look for the coming Vanguard Total World Stock Index ETF (VT).
The global ETF will track a market-cap weighted index of more than 2,800 large- and mid-cap stocks of companies in 48 countries. Approximately 55% of the index is made up of stocks from outside the United States.
The fund’s ETF investors will invest alongside mutual fund investors, but enjoy a lower expense ratio of an estimated 0.25%.
Vanguard expects the global ETF to be available in the second quarter of 2008.
