BlackRock’s Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) platform, iShares, reached global Assets under Management (AUM) of $509 billion as of March 31, 2010.
iShares ETFs account for nearly half of the industry’s total assets under management with 201 ETFs and $409 billion in the US and 172 ETFs and $100 billion in Europe.
Founded in 2000, iShares is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year.
