Cleantech Index Adds Software and Asian Wind

Index provider Cleantech Group announced that the quarterly rebalancing of its Cleantech Index will add two companies and remove three.

The newly added companies inlcude Autodesk, a California-based design software company, and China High Speed Transmission, a Hong Kong-based manufacturer of wind turbines and other power transmission equipment.

The Cleantech Index includes leading companies from a broad range of sectors such as advanced materials, agriculture, transportation, manufacturing, in addition to energy efficiency, renewables and water.

The changes will also be reflected in the PowerShares Cleantech Portfolio ETF (PZD) which is based on the Cleantech Index.
